The 2022 Challenge Matches
To be eligible to take part all players must be a fully paid up member of the A.M.M.G.C.C.
The matches consist of two players from each member club and ideally, one of those players should be that club's current Captain.
As a reminder, in 2021, Lancashire lead by 24pts at the half way stage of the match
Cheshire, as expected fought back and won the 2nd Leg by 16pts but
Lancashire's Total score in the 2nd Leg, even with two men down on the day, was enough to secure a rare but satisfying victory for the Captain of Captains 2021, Derek Howard Esq.
2022
The 1st Leg of 2022 was played at West Derby GC on Thursday 14th April.
The "Halfway" stage results are shown at the bottom of this page, with
the Holders, Lancashire having a slender lead of just 4 points.
The 2nd Leg was played on Tuesday 18th October at Wirral Golf Club (Shotgun start).
The slender lead of 4 points proved to be unassailable with Lancashire retaining
the trophy.
Jorn Jensen happily recieved the Trophy on behalf of the Lancashire Team.
