"THE RESULT"
Following the first leg, Lancashire was leading by just 4 points.
Unfortunately, they were unable to capitalise on that lead at and succumbed to an
impressive points tally by the Cheshire team in the second leg.
CHESHIRE = 700 points
LANCHASHIRE = 685 points
Congratulations (once again) to the Cheshire Team for your victory and
commiserations (once again!) to the Lancashire Team.
Many thanks to the staff and management of both Lee Park Golf Club and Wirral Golf Club for the courtesy and attention extended to the AMMGCC, not only on the days of play but throughout the year in helping to organise our annual challenge match.
Both golf courses were presented in excellent condition and provided a stern but fair test.
