The 2024 Challenge Matches



To be eligible to take part all players must be a fully paid up member of the A.M.M.G.C.C.

The matches consist of two players from each member club and ideally, one of those players should be that club's current Captain.

Yet another glorious Summer's Day, at a wonderful golf course.

Thank you to Wirral Golf Club for the use of your course and facilities.

Both Cheshire and Lancashire put out their finest teams to conclude this year's

Annual Challenge Match.

A valiant 354pts from Cheshire, to try and overcome the deficit from the 1st Leg,

was not enough to avoid Lancashire winning the 2nd Leg with 361pts and becoming

the Champion Team for 2024


With that said, the AMMGCC is the real winner.
Without the continued support and friendship we have established over the last 45 years, these

events would not be as enjoyable (and competitive!), without you, our members.

Lancashire 312pts (1st Leg) plus 361pts (2nd Leg) = 673pts
Cheshire    283pts (1st Leg) plus 354pts (2nd Leg) = 637pts
